What are the benefits of therapy and psychiatry combined?

According to research, combining therapy and medication can increase your likelihood of getting relief from your symptoms of depression and anxiety. A meta-analysis of 25 research studies found that combining medication with therapy was more effective than medicine alone in treating major depressive disorder. There is also evidence that combining therapy and medication decreases the likelihood of recurrent or future episodes of major depression. If your depression or anxiety are mild, it is reasonable to start with therapy alone and there is a high likelihood that your symptoms will improve. If your symptoms are more severe and interfering with your daily functioning, you should consider adding medication to your treatment. Your Rappore clinician will expertly guide you through making these important clinical decisions.
