Shelley supports individuals with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, anger issues, personality disorders, mood disorders, sleep disorders, trauma, and OCD. 

Shelley Helmig, a licensed therapist and valued member of the clinical team at Rappore, is authorized to provide counseling services to clients residing in New York and Florida via Telehealth. Shelley possesses both the experience and passion to assist adults and couples navigating various relationship challenges and adults experiencing life transitions or loss of self identity. Additionally, she has supported individuals dealing with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, anger issues, personality disorders, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders, sleep disorders, trauma, and OCD. 

Understanding the uniqueness of each person and relationship, Shelley takes a collaborative, client-centered approach to therapy. Shelley draws from a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. Shelley aims to empower clients to achieve emotional wellness and fulfillment while offering tailored treatment plans addressing unique needs and goals. 

Shelley's goal is to create a space of safety, empathy, and validation where clients can freely explore their innermost thoughts and feelings. Together, Shelley and her clients embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth, focusing on increasing self-awareness and fostering self-acceptance to build a more fulfilling life.

Shelley holds a Master in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Missouri.
